Audit Implementation of the recommendations from the external report on Air2030 - armasuisse

The Air2030 programme consists of four projects: new fighter aircraft, a new long-range ground-based air defence system, a new air traffic control system, and the maintenance, partial replacement and functional expansion of the radar systems. The clients are the Air Force and the Armed Forces Staff. The programme has a budget of over CHF 8 billion and is being managed by armasuisse. The main focus of the programme was previously on procurement. At the time of the audit, the projects were in the implementation or roll-out phase.

Audit Compliance for transactions with the Leopard 1 tank - RUAG MRO Holding AG

In 2016, RUAG acquired 100 used Leopard 1 tanks from the Italian army for EUR 4.5 million, including a large number of spare parts. This was despite the original plan to only make the purchase once a buyer had made a commitment. With the exception of four tanks, all attempts to sell them on initially failed.

Audit Supervision audit - Independent Oversight Authority for Intelligence Activities

Established in 2017, the Independent Oversight Authority for Intelligence Activities (OA-IA) is a decentralised unit of the Federal Administration whose task is to review intelligence activities with regard to their legality, appropriateness and effectiveness. OA-IA employee numbers fluctuated significantly in 2021 and 2022. A new director took up her post in July 2022, and the team of nine is now almost complete (as at August 2023). The OA-IA budget for 2023 is CHF 2.3 million, with personnel costs accounting for more than 80% of operating expenses.
