The SFAO publishes its annual programme every year in January. It selectively issues press releases and regularly updates its list of upcoming publications.

Access to the documents (FoIA)

Transparency is a top priority for the Swiss Federal Audit Office (SFAO). Its annual programme and annual report are public. Dozens of audit reports have been published every year since 2014.

All other SFAO documents are subject to the provisions of the Federal Act on Freedom of Information in the Administration (FoIA). According to the Act, which has been in force since 1 July 2006, any person may request access to official documents without having to demonstrate a special interest. Exceptions to the Freedom of Information Act are provided for to protect overriding public or private interests (a threat to Switzerland's internal or external security, trade or manufacturing secrets, etc.).
